It was all hands on deck to re-open the Science Centre during COVID-19. Our team had to balance promoting programming and the required health measures to not only keep patrons safe but also keep the Science Centre open and operating. And we succeeded...
Our dynamic Marketing & Communications team was busy preparing all marketing materials and channels for the re-opening.
To prepare for the launch, our team had to:

Promote the re-opening on social media.

Prepare and send member and IMAX passholders communications.

Organize appropriate signage with the new health measure instructions.

Create and upload digital signage for all of the programs and exhibitions.

Engage and invite journalists and reporters via media releases and advisories.

Update the website with the health measure information and all of the programming and exhibition information.

And so much more.
Keeping patrons safe and engaged
While my time at the Science Centre was short but sweet, the list of skills I learned and projects I supported was anything but short!
In only six months, I helped the team successfully engage Science Centre goers by:

Designing assets, developing social media campaigns, and managing influencer marketing.

Planning the opening event for the James Cameron exhibit for members, media, and donors.

Managing all aspects of media relations including a monthly segment with Global Morning News.

Helping sell out IMAX shows by creating engaging social media, website, and newsletter content.

Overhauling and updating the Educators section of the website (est. 30-40 pages) for enhanced user experience, navigation, and internal linking.

Creating a marketing & communications plan for the Annual IMAX Pass campaign, including on-site signage and in-person sales, digital/social media marketing and advertising, email campaigns, and radio promotion.
